I Heard the News Today, Oh Boy...
This afternoon, I took a break from writing an article to do dishes while listening to Fresh Air on WBUR. Terry Gross' guest, former Marine Donovan Campbell, retold a day in Ramadi, Iraq, when his platoon arrested all the men on one block.
Spotify Hacks? Anyone?
I'm writing an article on Spotify this week, and am trying to find info on whether anyone has found any way to hack into their cache and extract audio files. Readers, please let me know if you come across anything.

When Did We Start Becoming So Paranoid?
...and neurotic. Local police shut down the mall next to Macy's this afternoon for two hours because someone left an unattended handbag next to the building.
Apple and Microsoft's Dueling Failures
Man, this was a bad week to be an electrosexual for me. Both my MacBook Pro's battery and power adapter failed, as well as my Xbox 360 (the Red Ring of Death is a glowing nerd stop sign: "Go outside!").

I Think I'm Paranoid
I started feeling a bit paranoid tonight and decided I should install TrueCrypt on my Mac.

OMB Attacked (a bit) in Red Mass Group
Yes, it's true. Check out their "Jason Pramas and Chuck Turner" post here. And even though Red Mass Group is like the junior division of the Republican attack machine, it is sort of a benchmark for us to be trashed a bit by them.
OMB Makes the Boston Herald
I've been a naughty editor/publisher and not published any blog posts here in the last few weeks, but we got out first official mention in the Boston Herald last week (in a fairly sympathetic Peter Gelzinis column on Sen. Dianne Wilkerson's downfall).
Feeling called to jump in with some punditry re: Wilkerson, but...
...wouldn't it be great to find someone with a little more marquee value and name recognition to comment on the situation. Any ideas?
OMB Mentioned on Ethan Zuckerman's Blog
I attended an interesting presentation by Persephone Miel at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School last week, and my comments got Open Media Boston a mention on Ethan Zuckerman's blog (both he and Miel are Berkman fellows).
