Boston Common-Sept. 7, 2009
About one thousand concerned citizens gathered on Boston Common today to voice their demand for universal health care for all.
Speakers included: health care workers, patients, Mass. Attorney General Martha Coakley, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, and U.S. Congresspeople Markey, Capuano, and Lynch(who was shouted down by the crowd for his weak stand on health care).
People then marched down Boylston Street to Copley Square, lead by a spirited brass band and enthusiastic chants.
