...and neurotic. Local police shut down the mall next to Macy's this afternoon for two hours because someone left an unattended handbag next to the building. Proprietors of the food and souvenir carts were livid over their lost business. I don't know what color security risk we're at nationally, but people who had their routines disrupted were seeing red. Presumably, the bag couldn't have been too dangerous because police never evacuated the perfume counter on the other side of the Macy's wall. We wouldn't want to impede too much high priced commerce.

Meanwhile, a man with very long and dirty, tangled, and matted hair (apparently in some sort of physical or psychological distress) rocked back and forth in the entrance to the red/orange line station mere yards from the affected area surrounded by "do not cross" police tape. Does this man's condition count in the T's "if you see something, say something" universe?
