From July 28 - August 3, 2008, the Roxbury Film Festival celebrates its tenth year with features and short films celebrating local, national, and international filmakers and artists of color.

Actors Robert Townsend and Ruby Dee will make public appearances at the beginning and end of the festival.

Also there will be public discussions about issues impacting inner city residents and production workshops for youth participants.

Earlier this month, we spoke to Michelle Baxter, ACT Roxbury Executive Director, about the festival and the organization's ongoing role in the community.
