Charlie Murphy is a comedian, actor and writer, who is the older brother of actor Eddie Murphy. Charlie’s fame came from his recurring performances on Chappelle’s Show, where his most notable sketch, Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories recounts his time spent as part of his brothers entourage and his encounters with various celebrities, such as Rick James, who Charlie played himself. In 2005, Murphy appeared in his first major motion picture role in the film King’s Ransom, alongside Anthony Anderson and Jay Mohr. He has done voiceover work for Budweiser commercials, Cartoon Network’s The Boondock and Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He also lent his voice to the dog in the 2007 Eddie Murphy film, Norbit. In 2009, Charlie began starring in his own sketch comedy series, Charlie Murphy’s Crash Comedy. His new comedy special, Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize recently premiered on Comedy Central.
