Known by his distinctively loud, grating voice, Gilbert Gottfried is a comedian who began doing stand-up at open mike nights in New York City at the age of 15. In 1980, after spending several years mastering the art of stand-up comedy, Gottfried was hired as a cast member of the legendary NBC late night show, Saturday Night Live. Gottfried’s work in television soon led to roles in film. He appeared in such movies as Beverly Hills Cop II, Problem Child and the comedy documentary, The Aristocrats. After his performance as Iago, the parrot in Disney’s Aladdin, Gottfried became one of the most recognizable voiceover talents. He can be heard in commercials, cartoons, movies and even in commercials as the AFLAC duck. In his standup routine, Gottfried puts aside political correctness and to fire an onslaught of jokes that know no boundaries.
